Tall Trees Art Inc. is a community-led arts organisation based in Cooran, in the Noosa Hinterland on Kabi Kabi Country. Inspired by the meaning of Cooran, which comes from Kabi Kabi language and means “Tall Trees”, the organisation has become known for bringing art, creativity and community together in a way that feels deeply connected to place. Tall Trees has built a strong reputation for transforming the village into a welcoming cultural destination, with exhibitions, music and creative activity spread across multiple venues and enjoyed by artists, locals and visitors alike.
At its heart, Tall Trees is about creating meaningful opportunities for artistic expression, connection and regional cultural life. The organisation has showcased artists from across the Noosa, Sunshine Coast and Gympie regions, while also creating space for younger artists, community participation and a rich festival atmosphere that extends well beyond a traditional exhibition format. From curated gallery experiences to workshops, prizes and community events, Tall Trees continues to celebrate both the strength of local creative practice and the character of the hinterland itself.
Tall Trees is now looking ahead to its next major event in September 2027, building on its strong community roots and creative vision.
